A Year-Long Partnership
I’ll admit it, I’m feeling pretty sharp in my new workwear!
If you’ve watched my latest video, you’ll know why. For years I’ve been clambering about on roofs, chimneys, and cherry pickers, but now I’m doing it all kitted out thanks to my new partnership with Granite Workwear.
At first glance, their website might give off the impression of some faceless, corporate giant. But the truth? Couldn’t be further from it. Granite is a family-run business I’ve known for over 20 years, and I couldn’t be prouder to fly their flag while I’m out on the job.

The Real People Behind Granite Workwear
When you step inside Granite, you’re not walking into some soulless warehouse. You’re greeted by friendly faces and a wagging tail.
- Andy – the owner, and a good mate of mine for two decades.
- Simon – Andy’s brother-in-law and business partner, who I’ve known for 10 years.
- Holly – Andy’s daughter, who’ll likely greet you with a smile (or answer your call).
- Joe – a lifelong family friend of the family for over 30 years.
- Rum – the Fox Red Lab, who’ll probably give you an enthusiastic sniff hello.
If you’ve ever ordered from Granite, chances are Holly or Joe personally picked, wrapped, and sent your gear. It’s that personal. That’s why when you shop with them, you’re not just buying workwear, you’re supporting a real family who care about what they do.
From Pig Farms to Chicken Sheds
I’ve been buying from Granite for over a decade. When I first started, they were operating out of two shipping containers on a pig farm. Now, they’re in what we call “the chicken shed” the same space I share with my own company, DJI High Access Services.
It’s been brilliant watching their business grow while still keeping that close-knit, family feel. And after eight years of sharing a shed, I can safely say they’re some of the best people to have around.
Why I Swear by Dassy Workwear
For this sponsorship, I specifically asked for Dassy workwear and here’s why. I’ve been wearing it for five years straight, and I love the stuff.
- Hardwearing – it keeps up with the rough-and-ready nature of my work.
- Comfortable – when you’re spending all day in it, that matters.
- Smart looking – let’s face it, even a cherry picker man likes to look sharp.
- That shade of blue – I’m a sucker for it, and Dassy nails it.
Sure, it’s not the cheapest gear on the market, but in my opinion, it’s the best value – it lasts, it performs, and it looks the part.

A Family Business with Big Reach
Granite Workwear supply everyone from big organisations like Euro Tunnel to one-man-bands like me. Whether you need kit for a massive workforce or just yourself, they’ve got you covered.
And here’s the important bit: despite looking big from the outside, they’re still a family business at heart, approachable, personal, and committed to great service. That’s why I’m proud to represent them over the next year and beyond.
Wrapping Up
So that’s the story behind my new gear and this exciting partnership with Granite. I’ll be showcasing their workwear in all my videos over the next year, so you’ll see plenty of it in action while I’m out on the rooftops.
A huge thank you to Andy, Simon, Holly, Joe – and of course, Rum – for all your support.
